PROMOTION OF THE CITY OF VIENNA

A one-time, non-refundable amount of 50 percent of the reasonable costs, but not more than 1,500 euros per housing unit, may be granted for the installation of an exterior sunshade.

Grant funds are disbursed in accordance with available budget resources. There is no legal entitlement to the granting of this funding.

The accounting is carried out by the department Accounting and Taxes - Accounting Department 1.

1. On the website of MA25 (Housing Improvement Unit), fill in the funding form for external sun protection. Select the external roller shutter as the category.
2. Upload the invoice from CLIP'N'SHADE, as well as the written consent from the property management company, if applicable.
3. Wait... The processing of the application can take several months. If necessary, you can check with the relevant office.
4. Inspection and demonstration: An expert from MA25 comes by on an agreed date and checks the installation of the external blinds. Photos are taken of all windows incl. external roller blinds.
5. Approximately one month you will receive a mail that the grant is approved.
6. A few days later the funding amount (50%) will be credited to your account.

The following individuals are eligible to receive funding:

• Apartment tenants
• Apartment owners
• Owners of apartment buildings or their property management companies can submit collective applications for several apartments in a residential building.

Applications can be submitted for the following buildings

• Multi-story residential buildings for which the building permit was issued at least 10 years ago.
• For attic apartments, the date of the building permit for the building applies, not the building permit for the attic conversion.
• A favorable opinion from the Department of Architecture and Urban Design is required for buildings in conservation zones.

For facade awnings

• A quality certificate from the manufacturer for a total energy transmittance (gtot) less than or equal to 0.14 or for a reduction factor (Fc value) less than or equal to 0.23 in accordance with ÖNORM EN ISO 52022. Opinion (positive assessment) of the Department of Architecture and Urban Design for shutters, external blinds, awnings and the like - expert opinion
For facade awnings:
