Why is an external roller blind more effective than internal sun protection?
Internal roller blinds are primarily used as privacy protection and to darken the living space. However, as the sun's rays are only blocked behind the window pane, internal roller blinds are hardly suitable as heat protection
An internal roller blind with dark-coloured fabric even acts as an additional heater, as the fabric heats up considerably in the sun. External roller blinds reflect a large proportion of the sun's rays before they can even penetrate the home.
Is the transparent fabric just as effective against heat as the opaque fabric?
Both the transparent and the opaque fabric provide very effective protection against heat.Â
The transparent fabric has the additional advantage that no artificial light is required inside when the external roller blind is closed. This not only saves electricity costs, but also creates a pleasant atmosphere in the room.
How effectively does the CLIP'N'SHADE protect against heat?
The CLIP'N'SHADE has been specially developed against heat and stops between 90 % - 95 % of heat radiation before it can enter the home
Why is the CLIP'N'SHADE more effective and sustainable than all substitutes?
Electric appliances such as air conditioners, fans or air purifiers with a cooling function consume a lot of energy to achieve a cooling effect. In the case of air conditioning systems, warm exhaust air is also produced, which only transfers the heat problem to another location. Fans, air conditioners etc. are expensive to run, pollute our environment due to their high power consumption and are often the cause of health problems (colds, conjunctivitis, headaches).
Internal roller blinds darken your home but have no cooling effect.
Solar control films are difficult to apply to the window and permanently darken your home - even in the cold autumn and winter months.
How is the external roller blind attached?
The individual components of CLIP'N'SHADE can be put together without any tools. The sun blind is then placed in the window frame and fixed in place with our tested and proven clamping mechanism. You can find more details on this in our installation video and in our installation instructions
Does the CLIP'N'SHADE affect the thermal insulation or tightness of my window?
Although the outer seal is occasionally slightly dented, this does not affect the tightness of your window in any way.
Do I need to hire a tradesman to install the external roller blind?
Assembling the individual components and installing them in the window frame is child's play and can be done in next to no time. As a rule, our customers do not need a craftsman, even if they have limited manual skills. However, if you get stuck, we will be happy to help you with tips.
