Product description

Our CLIP'N'SHADE external roller blind is now also available made to measure! If our standard sizes, which you can find here are not sufficient, you have the option of ordering our product to the nearest millimetre. It is important that you determine the correct order width. You can find out how to do this in the next section.

THE ADVANTAGES OF OUR EXTERNAL ROLLER BLIND:
The CLIP'N'SHADE external roller blind is a clamp-on roller blindthat the flat effectively protects against heat. It is simply clipped into the window using five clips - installation takes just a few minutes and can be carried out by anyone. No scaffolding is required for installation, as this can be done from the inside. Of course, there is also no need to drill or screw into the window or façade. Because it is attached to the outside of the window, the special Heat protection fabric the heat rays of the sun. The heat input is thus reduced by over 90% and it stays cool in the home!
Our external roller blind for balcony doors is available Only with one fabric: Semi-transparent. This is a special heat protection fabric which over 95% of heat radiation from the sun. The fabric is a mixture of our transparent and opaque fabric. It has a darkening effect, but does not darken completely.

How do I determine my desired width?

Determining your desired width is actually quite simple. Here you go with the made-to-measure external roller blind for Balcony doors just as as with the customised external roller blind for Windows. The prerequisite is that your reveal width (see picture) is a maximum of 120cm. If the reveal width is greater than 120cm, you can install two of our external roller blinds next to each other. The reveal width is the width of the masonry opening for the window, i.e. from the masonry on the left to the masonry on the right.
IMPORTANT: Always measure the reveal width at several points (top, centre, bottom). Then take the smallest measurement as the reveal width.
For acasement windows you determine the order width as shown in the picture:

How do I enter the width I have determined? 

If you have correctly determined your desired width as described below, please enter it in the "Special width" field. Now select the right housing colour and add the product to the shopping basket.

How do I determine the product height?

1. There is only one height for balcony doors - this covers all heights between 140cm and 220cm.

Do you have a double-leaf balcony door?
Then you need one external roller blind per sash. Combine our standard width so that both sashes are well shaded, but at the same time fit next to each other in the reveal (= total width of the masonry opening). For example, if you have a reveal width of approx. 210cm. We recommend installing two 100cm roller blinds next to each other. If you need help with measuring and ordering, you can contact us at any time! Send us a picture of your balcony door and the most important dimensions. We usually reply within one working day.

Which colour should I choose?

We recommend choosing the colour of the external roller blind to match your windows as far as possible. For white windows (70% in Germany), white roller blinds - for grey windows or wooden windows, grey roller blinds.

Fits the External roller blind also on mine Balcony door?

Our external roller blind fits 90% all windows and balcony doors - however, there are a few exceptions that you should check before ordering:

1. It must be possible to open your balcony door. If it is a Fixed glazingour external roller blind cannot be fitted.
2. Balcony doors with SkylightTop or bottom lights are additional window units above or below your main window. It is often still possible to install our external roller blinds. However, please contact us before placing your order. The following also applies here: The fanlight must be able to be opened.
3. Stick rolloverThe overlap is the outermost elevation of your window frame. For PVC-U windows, this is usually approx. 1.5-2.5 cm. Important: If there is a rubber seal, please measure this too. Is your mullion overlap larger than 2.5 cm please contact us via the contact form. You can find a picture of how to measure the stick overlap here:
   
4. Wooden balcony doors with rain railA rain rail is a thin metal profile on your window frame. It replaces the hanger and is designed to prevent water from entering the window. A CLIP'N'SHADE can often be fitted anyway - please contact us in any case using the contact form. You can find a picture of a rain rail here:
   
5. Balcony doors with weatherboardA weather bar is a projecting profile on the window sash that is designed to prevent water from entering the window. Actually a great thing, but it hinders the installation of our roller blind. If the weather bar protrudes beyond the profile of the window frame, our CLIP'N'SHADE external roller blind can unfortunately not be fitted. You can find a picture of a weather bar here:

Exchange and cancellation

As this product is made to measure, it cannot be cancelled, exchanged or returned. The statutory warranty period of 2 years naturally remains in force.
