The CLIP'N'SHADE external roller blind is a clamp-on roller blindthat the flat effectively protects against heat. It is simply clipped into the window using five clips - installation takes just a few minutes and can be carried out by anyone. No scaffolding is required for installation, as this can be done from the inside. Of course, there is also no need to drill or screw into the window or façade. Because it is attached to the outside of the window, the special Heat protection fabric the sun's heat rays before they enter the home. The heat input is thus reduced by over 90% and it stays cool in the home!

HOW DO I CHOOSE THE RIGHT WIDTH?

Determining the appropriate width is actually quite simple. The prerequisite is that your reveal width (see image 1) is less than 150cm. If the reveal width is greater than 150cm, you can simply install two of our external roller blinds next to each other (see image 2). The reveal width is the width of the masonry opening for the window, i.e. from the masonry on the left to the masonry on the right.
IMPORTANT: This is an OUTDOOR ROLLER, which is why the measurements are taken from the outside of the window. Always measure the reveal width in several places (top, centre, bottom). Then take the smallest measurement as the reveal width.

As soon as you have determined the reveal width, round down to the next possible order width.
For example, if you have a reveal width of 105 cm, order the 100 cm wide external roller blind.

If the reveal width is greater than 150 cm, you can use two external roller blinds for your window, as shown in the picture below. This is particularly the case with double-sash windows. In this case, try to select the order width of our roller blind so that the guide rails are behind the window frame profile or the window sash profile.

HOW DO I CHOOSE THE RIGHT HEIGHT?

1. All our roller blinds are very flexible in terms of height, so you only need to select the correct range (e.g. 91-140 cm). You can then adjust the exact height during installation using the telescopic guide rails.
2. Measure the clear window height of your (open!) window as shown in the picture. IMPORTANT: The window frame must be at least 1.5 cm visible at the top!
3. Select the appropriate area in the drop-down menu.

WILL THE CLIP'N'SHADE EXTERNAL ROLLER BLIND FIT MY WINDOW?

Our external roller blind fits 90% of all windows - however, there are a few exceptions that you should check before ordering:

1. It must be possible to open your window. If it is a Fixed glazingour external roller blind cannot be fitted.
2. Window with Top or bottom light. Top or bottom lights are additional window units above or below your main window. It is often still possible to install our external roller blind. Contact us us before you place your order.
3. Stick rolloverThe mullion overlap is the outermost elevation of your window frame profile. For PVC-U windows, this is usually approx. 1.5-2.5 cm. Important: If there is a rubber seal, please measure it as well. Is your mullion overlap larger than 2.5 cm please contact us via the Contact form. 4. Wooden window with rain railA rain rail is a thin metal profile on your window frame. It replaces the hanger and is designed to prevent water from entering the window. A CLIP'N'SHADE can often be fitted anyway - please contact us in any case via the Contact form. You can find a picture of a rain rail here:
   
5. Wooden window with weatherboardingA weather bar is a projecting profile on the window sash that is designed to prevent water from entering the window. Actually a great thing, but it hinders the installation of our roller blind. If the weather bar protrudes beyond the profile of the window frame, our CLIP'N'SHADE external roller blind can unfortunately not be fitted. You can find a picture of a weather bar here:

Within this time, you can return it to us at any time free of charge and we will refund you the full price.
