CLIP'N'SHADE RF Smart Hub

This radio frequency gateway connects your smart home with our roller blind motors. It is set up using a smart home app of your choice. There are e.g. Tuya, Smart Life, Jinvo, or similar. Apps are available. We use the Tuya app in our video.

ImportantUnfortunately, we can only offer very limited advice for this product and a certain level of smart home affinity is required. Unfortunately, our service cannot explain the basics of Smart Home or Amazon Alexa & Co.

Furnishings:

1. Power the gateway via micro USB cable (included)
2. Connect the gateway to the Smart Home app (e.g. Tuya)
3. Click on the gateway in the app and click on Radio Frequency Remote Control. Then click on DIY and only then on Blind/Roller Blind.
4. Now memorise the up, stop and down buttons on the remote control (make sure you have the correct channel!).
5. Switch to the Alexa app and activate the Tuya skill there so that Alexa has access to the Tuya devices.
6. One routine each for "Roller blind up" (=On) and "Roller blind down" (=Off) in the Alexa app

After successful setup, the Tuya skill (or Smart Life, Jinvo, etc.) can be activated in the Alexa app or Google Home app. The roller blinds will now also appear in the voice assistant app. Operation by voice command varies from provider to provider. As a rule, the commands "Raise blind" or "Lower blind" work.

The range is limited to approx. 10 metres due to the RF technology. However, the range is negatively affected by thick or steel-reinforced masonry.
