Our CLIP'N'SHADE outdoor roller blind is now also available made to measure! If our standard sizes, which you can find here are not enough, you have the possibility to order our product exactly to the millimeter. It is important that you correctly determine the width of the order. How to do this, you will learn in the next section.

THE ADVANTAGES OF OUR OUTDOOR ROLLER BLIND:
CLIP'N'SHADE outdoor roller blind is a clampable roller blind that effectively protects the home from heat. It is simply clamped into the window with the help of five clips - the installation takes only a few minutes and can be done by anyone independently. No scaffolding is needed for the installation, as it can be done from the inside. Of course, there is no need to drill or screw into the window or facade. Because it is attached to the outside of the window, the special heat protection fabric reflects the heat rays of the sun. The heat input is thus reduced by over 90% and it remains cool in the apartment!
Our external roller blind for balcony doors is available only with one fabric: semi-transparent. This is a special heat protection fabric, which blocks over 95% of the heat radiation from the sun. The fabric is a mixture of our transparent and opaque fabric. It has a darkening effect, but not a complete blackout.

How do I specify my determined desired width? 

If you have determined your desired width correctly as described below, select the next larger order width here in the dropdown. You have determined that your desired width is 84.5cm? Then select 90cm. Now choose the right case color and put the product into the shopping cart. If you have all products in your shopping cart, you can click on "Checkout". In the next step you enter your address. Here you can tell us in the comments field, to which size your outdoor blind should be cut to size.
IMPORTANT: If you choose a size that is too small, we will have to cancel your order. If you have difficulties to choose the right size or to order the right product, you can always contact us.

How do I determine my desired width?

The determination of your desired width is actually quite simple. Here you go with the outdoor roller blind made to measure for Balcony doors same before as with the external roller blind made to measure for Windows. Prerequisite is that your reveal width (see picture) is maximum 120cm. If the reveal width is greater than 120cm, you can simply mount two of our external roller blinds next to each other. The reveal width is the width of the masonry opening for the window, so from masonry left to masonry right.
IMPORTANT: Always measure the reveal width in several places (top, middle, bottom). Then take the smallest measured dimension as the reveal width.

Product height

1. For balcony doors there is only one height - this covers all heights between 140cm and 220cm.

You have a double-wing balcony door?
Then you need one external roller blind per wing. Combine our standard width so that both wings are well shaded, but at the same time fit next to each other in the reveal (= total width of the masonry opening). For example, if you have a reveal width of about 210cm. We recommend to install two 100cm roller blinds side by side. If you need help with measuring and ordering, you can contact us at any time! Send us a picture of your balcony door and the most important measurements. We will usually respond within one business day.

Which color should I choose?

We recommend to choose the color of the external blinds to match your windows as much as possible. For white windows (70% in Germany) accordingly white roller blinds - for gray windows or wooden windows gray roller blinds.

Fits the Exterior blind also to my balcony door?

Our exterior roller blind fits 90% of all windows or balcony doors - but there are a few exceptions that you should check before placing your order:

1. Your balcony door must be able to open. If it is a fixed glazing, our external roller blind can not be mounted.
2. Balcony doors with skylight: Skylights are additional window units above or below your main window. Often the installation of our external blinds is still possible. However, please contact us before placing your order. The following also applies here: The skylight must be able to be opened.
3. Cane overturnThe overlap is the outermost elevation of your window frame. For plastic windows usually about 1.5-2.5 cm. Important: If a rubber seal is present, please measure it as well. Is your overlap greater than 2.5 cm please contact us via the contact form. You can find a picture of how to measure the stick overlap here:
   
4. Wooden balcony doors with rain trackA rain channel is a thin metal profile on your window frame. It replaces the stick overlap and is intended to prevent water from entering the window. Often a CLIP'N'SHADE can be mounted anyway - please contact us in any case via the contact form. You can find a picture of a rain rail here:
   
5. Balcony doors with weatherboard: A weatherstrip is a protruding profile on the window sash that is designed to prevent water from entering the window. Actually a great thing, but hinders the installation of our blind. If the weather bar extends beyond the profile of the window frame, our CLIP'N'SHADE exterior roller blind unfortunately cannot be installed. You can find a picture of a weather bar here:
